Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This position requires proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Contact past due accounts to collect on outstanding invoices.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a prompt manner.
- Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare financial reports for committees and board members.
- Verify records in Chamber software match records in QuickBooks.
- Work with treasurer on annual budget and monthly reporting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for this position.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
