Job Description:
As a Dental Office Administrator, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of our dental office. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to motivate others are essential in this role. Experience with dental or medical software is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate processing of claims.
- EOB Management: Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and reconcile patient accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
- Patient Ledger: Maintain and update patient ledgers, tracking outstanding balances and payments.
- Scheduling: Efficiently schedule appointments, managing the appointment book, and coordinating with patients to optimize the office's daily schedule.
- Communication: Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with patients, staff, and insurance companies, ensuring a positive experience for all.
- Motivation: Act as a positive and motivating influence on office staff to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment.
- Administrative Support: Handle general office tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and performing other administrative duties as required.
- Dental Software: Proficiency in dental software systems such as EagleSoft, Open Dental, or Dentrix to efficiently manage patient information and streamline office processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Office Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in insurance verification, EOB processing, and maintaining patient ledgers.
- Strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
- Motivated, self-driven, and capable of inspiring a positive atmosphere in the workplace.
- Experience with dental software systems such as EagleSoft, Open Dental, or Dentrix.
