What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cedar Area Transportation Driver position at Cedar City?
Cedar City Corporation is seeking a qualified individual to fill a driver position for Cedar Area Transportation(CATS). Under General supervision, performs a variety of duties associated with picking up and delivering customers of the transportation system.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Operates transportation system vehicles in safe and responsible manner, abiding by all laws and regulations applicable to a Class D operators license with Taxi endorsement.
- Picks up and delivers transportation customers as instructed by dispatch or with daily schedule. Assist passengers, as needed, to ensure safe and courteous service. Will use bi-fold ramp to accommodate wheel chair patrons.
- Uses vehicle two-way radio system in maintaining communication as needed with dispatcher to be available for transportation requests.
- Collects fare money from or checks vouchers/passes of all riders. Make change as required. Maintains accurate accounting of all monies associated with ridership.
- Maintains accurate records of all users of transportation system using designated forms.
- Conducts inspections of vehicle as directed and maintains vehicle in clean, functional and presentable fashion. Reports any mechanical concerns to supervisor as soon as practicable.
