What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Teacher - Early Childhood Education position at Cedar Cove Academy?
Foundations Learning Center is seeking Master Teachers to join our team! The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children learn and develop. Candidates must be reliable and hold a current CDA,CCP certification. This is a Full-time position. Must be physically capable of performing necessary job duties, including standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, and lifting children. Having a positive attitude and being a team player is required. Pay is competitive and depends on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assists in implementing the program curriculum and the DHS child care Licensing requirements for classrooms
- Follow daily schedule while creating a welcoming environment for children and parents
- Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities. Required to be outdoors approximately 60 minutes each day
- Chart children's progress, routines and interests and relaying needed information to parents/family
- Assist in preparing food and serving meals (when necessary)
- Maintains a classroom that is clean, safe and free of clutter
- Assists with recruiting classroom volunteers and planning activities for them to do in the classroom
- Assists in conducting at least two parent conferences with each child’s family per year, according to the program schedule
- Reports to work at scheduled times and maintains a good attendance record
- Maintain Master Teacher licensing credentials through continuing education and training.
- Other duties as they are assigned
Qualifications
- CDA, CCP, Minimum one (1) year credits from an accredited college or university
- CPR/First aid certification or obtain within first (1) week
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift bend and stand
- Ability to follow routines and schedule
- Ability to work as a team
- Positive attitude and genuine love for children
