Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and financial management tools to maintain accurate records, manage accounts payable, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including administrative tasks and office organization.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks for efficient financial management and reporting.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a governmental or nonprofit setting.
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and financial management tools.
- Familiarity with GAAP standards, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, tax regulations, and payroll processing.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels.
