What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concession Attendant position at Cedar Falls Community Schools?
Under the general direction of the Food service system accounting Clerk and the specific supervision of the Lead Concession Attendant, assists customers and performs a wide variety of procedures necessary for the efficient operation of concession functions for the Cedar Falls Community School District.
Work will be performed in most instances on weekday evenings and weekends. The incumbent must be at least 16 years of age in compliance with youth employment provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Executes concession stand sales, cleaning and stocking
- Takes orders for food and beverages and prepares food items according to the instructions
- Completes cash/credit card transactions accurately using the Districts POS system, totaling purchases and tendering change.
- Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies, and communicate shortages to Lead Concession Attendant(s).
- Performs clean-up duties after each shift and ensures that concession stand, food preparation equipment is sanitized and tidied up for the next attendant as directed by the Lead Concession Attendant.
- Keep food preparation equipment, building and storage areas clean and well-maintained
- Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
- Annual evaluations will be conducted by the Lead Concession Attendant with feedback from the Food service System accounting Clerk
LANGUAGE SKILL:
- Able to hear, see and effectively communicate orally with other employees, vendors and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of American currency, weight and distance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift or move 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently with occasional sitting and frequent standing/walking.
