Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with daily living activities including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Perform patient monitoring and assist with medication administration as needed.
- Assist clients with ADLs (activities of daily living) such as toileting, mobility, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Assist with heavy lifting and transferring clients as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by maintaining a clean and organized space.
- Work in a group home setting or provide care in the client's home community.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or illnesses.
- Strong patient care skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed.
- Knowledge of vital signs and patient monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively in a home care or group home setting.
- Experience with ADLs and patient care.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Comfortable working with people who have disabilities or illnesses.
