A DAY IN THE LIFE AS DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)
As Director of Nursing (DON) at a large skilled nursing facility, you spend the majority of your day implementing quality improvement initiatives with our clinical team. As DON, you support our goal of continually improving and maintaining the highest quality of clinical care possible for our residents. In doing so, you are a team-player who takes responsibility for completing a variety of administrative, committee, and personnel responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. In your leadership role, you communicate directly with residents and their families as issues arise while promoting a professional environment focused on clinical excellence among our team.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)
• Current Pennsylvania RN license and graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
