Responsibilities :
1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents based on their individual needs and care plans.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
3. Monitor residents' vital signs, assess their health condition, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement effective care plans.
5. Assist in coordinating and supervising the work of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure the delivery of consistent, safe, and compassionate care.
6. Educate residents and their families on health management, disease prevention, and available support services.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation, in adherence to facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
8. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to promote a clean and secure environment for residents and staff.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
10. Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere among the healthcare team, residents, and their families, promoting open communication and effective collaboration.
Qualifications :
1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
3. Sound knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, with a focus on geriatric care.
4. Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and respond to residents' health needs effectively.
5. Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members with empathy and professionalism.
6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
8. Current CPR certification.
9. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
