We are seeking a Supervisor – Engineering /Plant Operations:
The Supervisor- Engineering/Plant Operations is responsible for oversight day-to-day management of the repairs and maintenance of an acute care hospital. The candidate will manage a staff of both skilled trades and general maintenance personnel. They will also be responsible for assisting in the management of federal and local regulatory requirements for the hospital, including but not limited to fire safety, emergency management, emergency power, HVAC and plumbing. Managing maintenance and trade staff in the operation and repair of an acute care hospital Documenting and managing regulatory records. Managing contractors and vendors Performs other duties as assigned/required.

- Associate’s degree or above in an applicable field
- Graduation from a technical or trade school
- Journeyman’s license or above
- DC 3rd Class Engineer’s License or MD 1st Grade Engineer’s License
- 5 years' management experience in hands-on operational roles within healthcare facilities and/or healthcare facilities emergency management.
- A proven track record of successful Facilities Management or Emergency Management leadership experience
- Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, life safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen with budget experience
- Preferred - Experience in emergency management, incident command and emergency management drills
- Preferred – Experience reporting to DC government regulating bodies. (DOH, DOB, DDOE and Fire Marshall)
- CHFM, CHEP, and/or CHSP preferred
