Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities for our residents in an assisted living and memory care setting. Duties:
- Develop and implement a diverse range of activities and programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents
- Coordinate and lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, outings, and social events
- Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' interests, abilities, and preferences to create personalized activity plans
- Maintain a calendar of events and ensure activities are well-promoted and well-attended
- Manage the budget for activity supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines related to resident activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and engagement
Experience:
- Previous experience in assisted living or senior care setting preferred
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and techniques is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, plan events, and track activity supplies
- Ability to adapt activities based on individual resident needs and preferences
- Familiarity with memory care programs is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
