Spend your summer by the water at Cedar Island Marina! We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized Pool Manager to join our team for the summer. If you enjoy the outdoors, planning fun activities, and interacting with people in a beautiful waterfront setting, this position is perfect for you!
This is not a lifeguard position but a management position overseeing all aspects of the pool area, making it ideal for teachers on summer break, retirees seeking seasonal work, or anyone with experience working with children or within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the pool area for cleanliness and ensure chemical levels are properly maintained for safe swimming
- Handling of pool chemicals, such as liquid chlorine, neutralizing agents and various other chemical handling in a safe and proper manner
- Supervise the other pool staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment as well as the security of the pool area
- Be responsible for delegating tasks to the other pool staff
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to pool guests
- Plan and oversee daily activities for children and families at the pool
- Coordinate with marina management for planning of poolside entertainment
- Professionally resolve customer disputes and issues
* Training will be provided for operating and managing the pool and its equipment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pools, balancing chemical levels and operation of pool equipment is preferred
- Experience working with children, coordinating activities, or hospitality management
- Outgoing, organized, and enjoys interacting with people
- Ability to work shifts during the day, sometimes into early evening
- Must be able to work WEEKENDS
- Leadership experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
