Assistant Director of Finance
Full-time, Exempt
After initial training period in our Louisville office, this position will work fully remote.
Essential Functions: to assist the Senior Director of Finance & Administration in all functions related to finance and payroll/benefits.
- Responsible for supervision and maintenance of all payroll and benefits functions
- Manage the annual review of health and other employee benefit plans with careful consideration to both employee and Cedar Lake’s financial capabilities.
- Conduct monthly financial reviews with the Finance General Ledger team and with each Executive Director.
- Manage the budget process including preparing analytical and forecasting reports as necessary which may require working with operational staff and general ledger accountants.
- Manage the annual audit processes as well as the separate benefits audits (health and 401k).
Education: Ideal candidate should have a college degree in accounting/business management or a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in accounting.
Experience: Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting for not-for-profit organizations and Medicaid preferred. Payroll and benefits experience preferred. Direct relevant experience in accounting may substitute for education. Supervision experience is required.
High proficiency with MS Excel and extraordinary attention to detail are required in this role.
