Job Summary for Unit Manger :
To oversee and direct the day-to-day patient care. Supervising, directing and developing nursing staff and Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient care on the Unit.
Qualifications :
- Must be a Registered Nurse with license in good standing.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, sales representatives, and the public.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare facility
