Paraprofessional

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Paraprofessional to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our educators to support students with special needs in a nurturing and stimulating environment. The Paraprofessional will play a vital role in helping students develop their academic and social skills, while also ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom experience.

Duties

The Paraprofessional will be responsible for providing individualized support to students. This may involve:

- Assisting with lesson planning and curriculum development to ensure that students are engaged and challenged
- Implementing classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment
- Providing one-on-one instruction in areas such as literacy education, math, and childhood development
- Developing and implementing behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a comprehensive support plan for each student
- Providing support with classroom activities, such as setting up materials and preparing for lessons
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Supporting the development of social skills and emotional intelligence in students
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for students, including those in toddler care

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting. Experience in classroom management, behavior management, or curriculum development is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $19.00 per hour
