What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Teacher position at Cedar Park Central Kumon?

As a Kumon Math Teacher, you will play an essential role in guiding and supporting students as they work through Kumon worksheets, helping them develop independent learning skills and a strong foundation in math. Ideally, we're looking for someone who has experience with the Kumon method, has taken math classes beyond Calculus, and is a collaborative team player who can communicate effectively with the Kumon Instructor and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and support students in completing Kumon math worksheets.
- Grade math homework and classwork.
- Provide individualized assistance to students based on their needs and progress.
- Help students build strong problem-solving skills and confidence in math.
- Collaborate with the Kumon Instructor and other team members to track student progress.
- Potential to assist with math lesson planning and goal setting for students as the role evolves.
Qualifications:
- Experience with the Kumon method (preferred).
- Advanced math coursework beyond Calculus (strong preference for individuals with a solid math background).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
- Passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Enthusiastic about learning and growing with the Kumon method.
Schedule:
- Part-time or Full-time opportunities available.
- Required hours:
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Thursdays: 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Saturdays: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
- Extended hours available for full-time employees in the morning and afternoon.
