What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Cedar Park Group?
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial building construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of construction practices and safety regulations, and the ability to manage field operations while coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations at the job site to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and safety regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work progress, safety standards, and quality control.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and vendors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Maintain accurate records including daily reports, inspections, safety documentation, and time tracking.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Schedule and coordinate materials and equipment deliveries.
- Lead on-site meetings and communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding progress and issues.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and OSHA regulations.
- Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
