What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator / Skid Steer position at Cedar Park Group?
Cedar Park Group is looking to hire an experienced equipment operator / skid steer.
Shift: 7am-3.30pm
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Experience operating a roller, skid steer, and water truck in a construction setting
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Strong safety record and commitment to following all safety regulations
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle physical demands of the job
- Understanding of basic mechanical principles and troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Prior experience in the paving industry strongly desired
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tasks align with equipment design parameters
- Inspect equipment before and after use to maintain optimal working condition
- Drive or control heavy equipment to execute construction site tasks
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings as needed
- Climb on and off machinery and operate controls with precision
- Work outdoors in varying conditions, including exposure to noise, moving equipment, and other construction elements
