What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Cedar Park Group?
Cedar Park Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators (trac/traco), and bulldozers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety procedures, site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate skid steer loaders, mini excavators, and bulldozers on various job sites
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup as required
- Conduct routine pre-operation inspections and report any equipment issues
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Read and interpret site plans or instructions from supervisors
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, and bulldozers
- Strong knowledge of equipment operation and site safety procedures
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training
- Experience working on residential or commercial construction sites
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
