What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Cedar Park Med?
Cedar Park Med is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct patient care in a secure correctional facility. In this role, you will support Registered Nurses (RNs) in delivering high-quality medical care, ensuring the health and well-being of inmates while adhering to facility protocols and security procedures.
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 6:45 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
- Evening Shift: 2:45 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.
- Night Shift: 10:45 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing quality nursing care in accordance with institutional procedures.
- Accurately transcribe, prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments.
- Utilize Virtual Office Ware (EMR system) for patient documentation.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to supervising RNs.
- Ensure patients receive proper nutrition, hydration, and hygiene.
- Maintain a safe and secure clinical environment.
- Follow all facility security protocols and participate in mandatory training.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum 1 year of professional and clinical experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Must successfully complete a 3-day medical orientation and security training.
- Must pass a background check and fingerprinting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a secure setting.
