What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Nurse (RN/LPN) position at CEDAR PARK MED?
Are you a compassionate and reliable LPN or RN looking for part-time work with a meaningful impact? Cedar Park Med is seeking a school nurse to provide 1:1 care for a student. This position involves being with the student throughout the school day, including transportation to and from school. It’s a rewarding opportunity to support a child’s education while making a real difference in their daily life.
Schedule: 7am - 3pm, 2-3 days per week
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet the driver at the school each morning.
- Safely transport the student to school in the morning and back home in the afternoon.
- Ensure the student’s well-being throughout the day, providing any necessary care
- Collaborate with school staff and the student’s family to address health concerns or emergencies.
- Maintain clear, accurate health records and communicate effectively with all involved parties.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in New York State.
- Experience working with children, especially those with Cerebral Palsy and G-tube care.
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to health-related emergencies.
- Compassionate, responsible, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, supportive environment for the student.
