Position Overview
We are looking for a Clinical Dietician to join our team! This is a PRN position working 1-2 shifts per week or as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting and documenting Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for patients or caretakers. This includes but is not limited to initial and ongoing nutritional assessment, care planning, patient monitoring, patient counseling and training regarding diets or other nutrition matters, and calorie counts
- Participates in or provides presentations for hospital based support groups or education seminars
- Participates in interdisciplinary patient care teams
- Assists diet clerks in the calculating or interpreting of diet orders
- Assists in the development and maintenance of nutrition related educational materials
- Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of patient food service
Qualifications
- Current Registration by the American Dietetic Association (RD) and Texas Dietitian License (LD)
- RD eligible candidates may be considered, but must obtain registration within six (6) months of employment
