What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Cypress Creek (FT; Days) position at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center?
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team at our float pool!
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant manner
- Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
- Assist patients as needed with health questionnaires
- Escort patients to examination rooms
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Set up supplies in procedure room
- May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Cross-train to cover front desk when coverage is needed
- May be required to float to other clinics as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
