Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to join our team! This is a Full Time position working days.
Responsibilities
- Presents examination education to the patient prior to exam, gives post procedure instructions pertinent to the exam performed
- Consistently obtains all ultrasound exam information
- Performs ultrasound independently, consults the physician as necessary
- Performs ultrasound interventional procedures utilizing sterile technique
- Maintains equipment, cleans and disinfects probes after each patient
- Assists the physicians with biopsies, drainage, etc
- Maintains ultrasound patient log book and collects data as necessary for statistics
- Consistently labels body parts, correctly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s Applied Science in Sonography, or related field required
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved course in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- OB/GYN experience preferred including TA and TV Gyn Sonos, 1st trimester, anatomy and growth scans and 3D scans
