About Us:
Cedar Pet Supply in St George is a local pet supply store dedicated to providing exceptional care for all pets, from puppies and kittens to small animals, reptiles and fish. We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Animal Care Tech Lead associate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for a variety of animals, including puppies, kittens, small animals (rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.), fish and reptiles.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, ensuring all animals are well-fed, groomed, and in clean environments.
- Assist with cleaning cages, tanks, and enclosures regularly to maintain a hygienic and safe habitat.
- Handle animals with care and attention, ensuring they are comfortable and stress-free.
- Interact with customers, answering questions and helping them select the right products for their pets.
- Lead and work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a well-organized and efficient animal care routine.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills, management experience.
- Computer savvy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in animal care is a plus but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. Reptiles experience is highly desirable.
- A love for animals and the ability to handle them safely and compassionately.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining cleanliness and animal welfare.
- Must be able to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
- Must have reliable transportation and own a vehicle.
