Overview :
The Public Relations Regional Manager will lead impactful public relations strategies for various parks, ensuring effective connections between strategic planning and execution. This role plays a crucial part in generating media coverage, nurturing relationships with journalists and influencers, drafting engaging press materials, creating media kits, and coordinating promotional events.
Salary Details : $90,000.00 annually up to $110,000.00 annually based on relevant experience.
Park Assignment :
This position is responsible for the following parks :
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles
Hurricane Harbor Phoenix
Note : Must be able to office / commute to one of the listed parks.
Responsibilities :
Oversee and implement public relations strategies to enhance awareness and reputation for regional parks.
Draft news releases, media alerts, media kits, and other materials to attract media interest and support PR initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and stakeholders to secure favorable media coverage.
Conduct outreach to media by pitching story ideas and managing interview requests.
Assist in organizing and managing press events and community engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of messaging with overarching PR strategies.
Support Social Media & Digital content efforts with content capture as needed.
Manage crisis communication strategies as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations.
Strong media relations and crisis communication competencies.
Experience in media pitching and relationship development.
Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
