Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial transactions and creating reports based on that information. To create financial transactions, the Primary Bookkeeper must post information to journals or accounting programs. The Bookkeeper must monitor invoices, receipts, and financial documents to support legal requirements and compliance.

Experience: Accounting or bookkeeping experience with a generally accepted education of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Mental and Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a bookkeeper that are mostly sedentary with occasional standing, walking, reaching. Daily and repetitive data entry may cause nerve problems unless ergonomic techniques are used. Periodic stress occurs from handling many calls.
Conditions: The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
- Process bank deposits, reconcile all bank statements, liaison all bank activity.
- Process timecards, administer payroll, add and update employee information as needed.
- Process quarterly and yearly payroll related reports and filings (state and federal), including W-2s.
- Handle all accounts payable for the office.
- Liaison with office retirement plan. Provide all employee information, transmit payroll contributions, physician contributions, and keep records of the above.
- Keep financial and details records for all office insurance policies to include employee health & life, HSA contributions, malpractice, business ETC.
- Process a rather intricate application for providing the physician draw at the end of each month.
- Provide a Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement monthly for the business.
- Liaison with the office accountant on all accounting requirements. This includes providing and processing all necessary information to complete year-end tax filing.
- Assist in yearly budget planning.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic math and modern office procedures.
- Ability to multitask effectively, dealing with phone calls, staff, and others pleasantly.
- Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient records.
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, and the public.
