We are looking for a Scenic Assistant available from Early April to Early July with opportunities to extend through the end of October if available.

As a Scenic Assistant, you will be responsible for idealizing and executing thematic paint for seasonal and departmental shows and attractions, including our spooky HalloWeekends Haunted attractions. You will also work with the scenic designer in preparing drafting packages and researching and sourcing set dressing and props.
- Apply various paints and stain coatings to wood, metal, plaster, or other surfaces as required using brush, roller, or spray techniques.
- Remove old paint coatings and prepare surfaces as necessary to accept new coatings.
- Use various techniques to mix / match paint colors for accuracy as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and perform all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements, reporting all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Generate 2D design elements using SketchUp or similar design software, including ground plans, detail views, and 3D renders.
- Generate color elevations using Photoshop or similar.
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
- Utilize the internet or other sources for research.
- Provide design support to the Designer.
- Maintain show documentation and other shared resources for reuse.
- Participate in the delivery of design intent documents that result in a realized design.
- Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Individuals with a passion and excitement about Cedar Point.
- Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work in a fast-paced role based on deadlines; must have a valid driver's license, be comfortable climbing ladders, and lift 25-40 lbs.
