Cedar Ridge Inn is now hiring a Full-Time MDS Coordinator
Salary : Based on Experience
Hours : Full-Time
Requirements :
- LVN / LPN License (Preferable RN License) with MDS experience.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as New Mexico background check.
- Exciting and fun place to work!
- Completing and updating MDS forms on all patients in the care facility
- Performing clinical assessments to gather information on residents
- Developing care plans for patients to coordinate available services
- Submitting updates and paperwork to maintain compliance
- Participating in the admission and discharge processes
- Conducting and attending meetings with other care team members
- Investigating complaints or issues from residents and their families
- Educating patients and their families.

Responsibilities :
The MDS coordinator monitors patient care by assessing procedures, speaking with patients and recording medical codes. Also known as resident assessment coordinators, MDS coordinators assess and monitor proper treatment for residents in nursing homes . They determine the health status, care plans, and procedures for intake of residents according to state and federal standards. MDS coordinators are often also responsible for creating medical codes, which allow hospitals and clinics to coordinate with medical billers and keep accurate records.
