The Cedar Ridge School District is seeking applications for a full-time School Resource Officer.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy Certified
- At Least 21 Years of Age
- Valid AR Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
Job Duties:
The School Resource Officer will provide security for students, staff, and visitors. SRO will patrol school buildings and building grounds to prevent unauthorized visitors and to promote a culture of safety and security. Duties will include but are not limited to:

Ensure a safe environment for all students and staff
- Interact daily with students and staff
- Assist in safety training as requested
- Act as a liaison between Cedar Ridge Schools and the Independence County Police Department
- Participate in safety walks and building assessments
- Assist with building drills and other emergency procedures
- Assist with car rider, bus rider, and crosswalk duties
- Monitor the school's emergency management system and security cameras
- Collaborate with district and school administrators
- Abide by all state and federal laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
