Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents with State, Federal, and Tribal Courts.
- Coordinate communication with court clerks, opposing counsel, and clients.
- Manage case files, maintain calendars, and track court deadlines.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries as needed.
- Support attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, document review, and trial support.
- Assist in preparing discovery responses and organizing exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Build and maintain relationships with tribal clients, reflecting respect for and understanding of Native cultural values.
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience with experience in litigation.
- Demonstrated experience with State and Federal court filings. Preferred experience communicating and filing with Tribal Courts.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and litigation tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
