Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing athletic training services to athletes during sport events and will also work within our physical therapy clinic at our location on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
Responsibilities:
- Provide injury prevention and rehabilitation services to athletes during sport events
- Evaluate and assess injuries and develop treatment plans
- Administer first aid and emergency care when necessary
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for athletes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Educate athletes on injury prevention and proper conditioning techniques
- Work in a physical therapy clinic to provide rehabilitation services to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
