Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate teacher's for our school age program to join our educational team for summer 2025. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to offer an engaging, fun-filled summer
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Attend various unique fieldtrips on site and at community locations to promote fun, learning and community.
Skills
- Experience working with students from kindergarten to 10 years old
- Strong skills in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices to ensure the well-being of all students.
- Skills in behavior management techniques to address classroom challenges effectively.
- Willingness to engage in many outdoor activities with children as we have access to a learning prairie and we have the only certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom in Black Hawk County
- Knowledge in literacy education strategies to promote reading and writing skills among students.
- Ability to plan and deliver effective physical education programs that encourage active lifestyles.
- Compassionate approach towards children, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.

Pay: $10.50 - $11.00 per hour
