What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver - Transit - Austin position at Cedar Valley Services?
SMART Transit in Austin is looking for a part-time transit bus driver. Responsible for transportation of employees, consumers, and the general public in a safe manner. Will coordinate daily transportation schedule and route to insure efficient operation and will perform scheduled inspections to insure safe and lawful operation of the bus. Will maintain vehicle logs, shipping manifests, and making sure vehicle is clean at all times.
Days/hours will vary. Must have or obtain class C CDL with passenger endorsement. CVS will assist with training and cost.
Experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
Position requires above-average customer service skills, acceptable driving record, valid vehicle insurance, background and criminal record check along with drug test required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
