About the Position
The Programs Coordinator creates, organizes, and conducts programs at the Cedarburg Art Museum which inspires and connects children and teens to the arts. Some of the requirements of the position include:
· Recommend and coordinate the implementation of new events and activities related to the arts for children and teens.
· Plan, develop curriculum, and conduct the following programs already in practice: Main Street Art Camp, High School Sketch, and Student Art Matters.
· Attend area school art functions and events as the representative of the museum, as needed.
· Track and report program attendance and revenue as required.
· Monitor budget and expenditures for each program and stay within an allocated annual budget.
· Work with other community organizations to host art programs for all abilities and differing abilities.
· Work with local artists to continue a successful High School Sketch program.
· Act as the liaison between the Cedarburg Art Museum and elementary, middle, and high school art teachers within Ozaukee County to continue a successful Student Art Matters program.
- Serve on museum committees and work groups as assigned by the Executive Director.
· Support the organization in creating and enhancing positive patron experiences in all points of contact.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Board members, all staff and volunteers, the Cedarburg community, schools, homeschool organizations, and artist groups.
Qualifications
· Experience working with children and teens.
· Experience working with curriculum development in art education or equivalent experience is preferred.
Salary & Benefits
· Position is part-time, 10-15 hours per week
· Compensation: $20/hour
Requirements:
· Position is required to work every 5th weekend as part of a staff rotation; some evenings may also be required for programs and events
· All museum staff are required to work the following events:
o Strawberry Festival
o Wine & Harvest Festival
o Palette to Plate Fundraiser Event Dinner
o Festive Friday Eves during the holiday season
