Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Utility Billing Clerk to join our office team. The ideal candidate share responsibility for the utility billing process - preparing billing statements, maintaining customer billing and metering information and records, reviewing electric and water meter data; as well as providing specialized customer service as it relates to utility billing, and generalized customer service as it relates to utility operations and activities.
Duties
- Process monthly utility bills, ensuring timely and accurate billing for utility services.
- Create and maintain accurate customer billing and metering information in the customer information system (CIS).
- Process customer applications for utility services.
- Process final utility bills.
- Establish, update and monitor customer budget and time-of-day accounts in accordance with state statues.
- Investigates and calculates account billing corrections.
- Communicate with customers regarding their accounts, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
