The Director of Music accelerates the mission of CedarCreek by helping guests connect with God through music. This role works with the service programming team and campus music staff to build setlists that align with the vision of the church and works with digital resources to help equip campus teams for.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee bridging the vision for the weekend musically to the execution including management and updating of files needed for services and events (Ableton files, Planning Center charts, lyrics, etc.)
- Plan and oversee meetings for generating musical ideas for upcoming programming (worship song).
- Resource and support Campus Music DreamTeam to execute weekend services by general equipping and support of Campus Arts Directors in developing DreamTeam members.
- Provide general and specific instrument training to Campus Arts Directors through individual training, online resources, or an invited instructor.
- Collaborate with the Service Programming Director in setting and maintaining of musical standards for Campus Music DreamTeam.
- Represent Music in Service Programming meetings.
- Oversee inventory and upkeep of Central and Campus music gear.
- Collaborate with the Production and Visual Media Teams to achieve mutual goals and objectives for drawing guests closer to God through music.
- Serve in Music / Production roles for Campus or Central events, including Wednesday or other scheduled rehearsals. Provide feedback to Service Programming Director.
