  Job Summary:

  ExpertHiring is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Social Worker to support students' emotional, social, and academic development. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and resource coordination to ensure student success.

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement support plans.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs.
  • Assist in the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and provide social-emotional support as needed.
  • Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies to support students.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health and social development topics.
  • Connect families with community resources and support services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and reports.
• Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
  • New York State Certification as a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW).
  • Prior experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, behavioral interventions, and student advocacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
