The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.The schedule for this position will be 7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am, including alternating weekend shifts. Summary of Essential Duties : Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructionsAdminister contrast materialPrepare and operate CT scan equipmentAbility to position patient to capture appropriate imagesSend images to Radiologist for interpretation / readingCleans and disinfects patient roomsFollow infection control and safety guidelinesQualificationsEducation : Graduate of a JRCERT accredited School of Radiologic Technology program requiredLicensure / Certifications : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) requiredCalifornia Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification requiredAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year from start dateBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association requiredVenipuncture certification required Experience : A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist requiredExperience in a hospital setting required, including Emergency Department and inpatient casesExperience with Trauma and Stroke patients requiredExperience with advanced exams, including Angio of abdomen or head and neck, required Keywords : CT, Computed Tomography, Tech, Technician, Technologist, Imaging, Radiology, Healthcare, Hospital, Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, CaliforniaAbout UsCedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
