Job Summary
This role involves assisting patients with daily activities such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene in the Med Surg Tele Unit. The successful candidate will provide basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients, ensuring a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Answer phones and respond to call lights
- Ensure unit supplies are stocked
- Assist patient transporters as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing assistant experience (preferably)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
Work Environment:
This is a part-time, night shift position, working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital.
