About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team in the Department of Urology. The successful candidate will work closely with our Principal Investigator, Dr. Hung, to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish research findings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Ph.D. graduate to gain hands-on experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or systems biology, and to develop skills in scientific computing, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description
- Analyze and interpret large-scale omic data sets using Python, Matlab, and R computing languages
- Develop and implement new research techniques and protocols
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment
- Collaborate with other researchers to design and conduct experiments
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Systems Biology
- 3-5 years of experience working with big data or omics data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab, and R
- Familiarity with algorithms, scientific computing, and machine learning or statistics
