Community Engagement Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, human services, or a related field.
- Strong public speaking skills and communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person).
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
- Excellent computer skills; proficient or advanced skill in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), online calendars, cloud system and virtual meeting platforms.
- Strong commitment to the mission and goals of CEDARS.

- Ability to represent CEDARS in a positive and professional manner and corporations within the community.

Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the organization’s volunteer and intern services, representing the organization at speaking engagements, collaborating with community partners, managing in- kind donations, and assist with other general duties within Human Resources as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement recruiting, interviewing, and placement of prospective volunteers and interns for available positions.
- Coordinate and facilitate the orientation and training process for all new volunteers and interns.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of volunteers and interns.
- Coordinate or assist with agency volunteer activities, if applicable.
- Collaborate with other professionals and corporations within the community solidifying long-term volunteer relationships. This includes having positive relationships with local educational institutions.
- Maintain volunteer and intern files and accurate record-keeping as well as keep current on changes in background checks required for the safety of all CEDARS clients.
- Work with current volunteers/interns on potential employment opportunities when feasible. Identifies, recruits, trains, and manages high impact volunteers for the purpose of growing awareness and revenue.
- Attend recruitment activities such as job fairs and represent CEDARS Youth Services at other community functions.
- Manage in-kind donation process through to meet specifically identified program needs.
- Represent CEDARS in public presentations for the purpose of growing awareness and revenue.
- Collaborate with community partners to support the programmatic and financial interest of CEDARS programs.
