The Nutrition Services Supervisor shall be responsible for overseeing all aspects of CEDARS food service program at two designated sites as well as directing the work of those employees under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor which will require some preparation of meals and snacks as a back-up. Provide effective leadership to foster teamwork. Prepare and execute USDA menus to be approved by Registered Dietician that meet all USDA child nutrition program requirements and ensure health and safety standards are maintained. Manage day-to-day operations, complete required paperwork in a timely manner, and product inventory and ordering from local and commercial vendors, grocery stores, and/or Food Bank.

Possess ability to work with other professionals in the community and be an active member of the program to meet the nutritional needs of each client which may comprise of filling in for team members.
This position must stay in compliance with the Nebraska Food Code and the USDA Child Nutrition Programs National School Lunch (NSLP) and Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) standards. .

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to clients in CEDARS care.
- Maintain a clean environment of all food areas and appliances
- Provide direction and supervision to identified staff.
- Order and purchase food and supplies from commercial vendors, grocery stores and/or Food Bank.
- Maintain compliance with the Nebraska Food Code and USDA Child Nutrition Programs National School Lunch (NSLP) and Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) standards.
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have 3 years of experience in the food service industry with knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, nutrition, supervision, and safety.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must have or obtain within 30 days, a state of Nebraska food handler’s permit (Food Protection Manager).
- Flexibility to meet client nutritional needs while working as part of a team under the direction of several staff members.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Concrete problem-solving skills with ability to identify what needs to be done and the most efficient way to complete it.
- Highly organized to work independently with minimal supervision within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
