Summary of Responsibilities
The Senior Construction Project Manager for Tri-C Construction Co., Inc./The Cedarwood Companies is responsible for overall management direction for the construction of multifamily communities (plans, budgets, schedules, organize, and controls assigned projects). The Sr. Construction Project Manager will maintain close contact with ownership, direct construction and financial activities to ensure proper project completion. This position will require regular jobsite visits within continental United States.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
· Assist in developing project budget
· Maintain project budget
· Negotiate subcontracts and material purchases within the defined budget to complete projects.
· Monitor and control project through direction of on-site superintendents to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
· Work with a contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts.
· Work with superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities related to construction projects.
· Lead and/or assist with estimating potential projects
· Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
· Participate in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
· Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff.
· Update job reports including work progress, costs, photos and scheduling updates.
· Proactively develop relationships with the subcontractor community.
Requirements:General Requirements
· BS/BA in construction management, engineering or similar preferred but not mandatory
· Minimum of 15 years of construction management experience required
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Must know Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and ProCore
· Completed OSHA 30 training preferred
· History of managing large multifamily and commercial construction projects.
· Must be self-motivated and punctual
· Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally
· Must be professional in appearance and speech.
