BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Responsible for managing count room practices and procedures in accordance with industry standards. Establishes and maintains all count records and reports required by countroom procedures.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Supervises countroom operations in accordance with internal procedures and controls
- Provides excellent team member relations
- Provides professional supervision and direction to count team members; resolves problems; makes sound decisions; exercises discretion and refers appropriate problems and decisions to Cage Manager.
- Maintains all assigned records and reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for reviewing all paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Assures that all count team members comply with all applicable internal controls and reporting requirements
- Maintains appropriate security measures to protect company assets and confidential company information
- Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum one year cage, banking, or other acceptable cash handling experience.
- Team oriented; minimum one year supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability in cash and paperwork handling
- General working knowledge of cage and casino operations
- Demonstrated ability to conduct countroom operation in accordance with prescribed standards
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies

Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to bend, twist, and kneel. Occasionally sit. Lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
