BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

Effectively supervise the daily functions of the Table Games pit area specific to assigned games and dealers, complete tasks as assigned, and maintain the integrity of our operation through enforcement of established policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
• Ensure department compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations, and enforce pit personnel to follow established policies and procedures.
• Effectively demonstrate a thorough understanding and knowledge of the rules of all games under your supervision.
• Maintain a clear line of communication at all levels of operation when appropriate.
• Deliver to the best of your ability and job limitations, a level of superior guest service.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of all signatory paperwork, pit documents and payroll records.
• Maintain frequent and effective contact with our guests.
• Effectively represent yourself and subordinates in matters of payroll and operational integrity.
• Exhibit a personal leadership style that reflects professional excellence, integrity and a mature understanding for the necessity to guard and control confidential information.
• Participate in mandatory informational meetings and training sessions as scheduled by management.
• Understand and demonstrate company and department philosophies, and actively promote this philosophy to the guests and employees of The Mill Casino.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

• Must have a thorough knowledge of Table Game policy and procedures, with a minimum of three years experience working in a credible casino operation.
• HS Diploma or GED required with a certificate from a dealer school a plus.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the rules of all games supervised.
• Must have proven competencies in communication skills, policy enforcement and employee management.
• Computer literacy and multi-game experience preferred.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure and manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
