The Senior Research Associate, Ocular Research (Contract) will have the opportunity to be involved in several aspects of Ocular programs, including assisting in developing in vitro diseased models using iPSCs. You’ll be expected to work through techniques like RNA/DNA extraction, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, RT-ddPCR, western blot, tissue embedding, sectioning, staining, and imaging. The ideal candidate will be managing and ordering chemicals and supplies, as well as writing protocols. They will be an integral part of the Ocular team, supporting the development and expansion of Client’s Ocular portfolio.

The Senior Research Associate, Ocular Research (Contract) will have the opportunity to be involved in several aspects of Ocular programs, including assisting in developing in vitro diseased models using iPSCs. Responsibilities
- Maintain and culture iPSCs and 3D retinal organoids differentiation to support the ocular team.
- Process samples for histological analysis by performing fixation, OCT embedding, sectioning, immunofluorescence staining and imaging.
- Assist and conduct experiments utilizing molecular techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, ddPCR, and western blot).
- Develop and execute cell-based or ex vivo assays for validating biological activity of oligonucleotide therapeutics.
- Prepare SOPs, present data and research findings at internal meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Discovery Teams to advance the pipeline and contribute to the completion of corporate goals.

- BS with 4 years or MS with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with iPSC cell culture, maintenance and differentiation of retinal organoids.
- Experience in the ocular space is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with in vitro assays including PCR, ddPCR, qPCR, Western blotting, and immunostaining is highly desirable.
