Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze operational costs and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare budgets and monitor actual expenditures against budgeted figures.
- Perform month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balance preparation.
- Manage and continuously improve working capital metrics (DSO, DPO, DIO).
- Maintain the standard cost system, analyze inventory costs, and ensure accurate valuation of inventory.
- Identify and analyze variances between actual and standard costs.
- Prepare detailed reports on cost information to support management decision-making.
- Implement and monitor internal controls related to accounting processes.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Lead the annual financial statement audit process.
- Supervise local accounting team members handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience using an integrated ERP system.
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and cost structures.
- High level of accuracy in managing financial information.
- Experience with financial reporting and ERP systems.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills based on data analysis.
