Job Overview:
CEG’s client is expanding their team and is seeking a skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager (Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer) to lead their team in Memphis, TN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative environment while being empowered to practice without limitations. As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large-scale environmental investigations, overseeing complex projects, and supporting business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute large-scale investigations of soil/groundwater contamination and vapor intrusion studies under CERCLA and RCRA.
- Supervise and mentor support staff, providing leadership throughout all project phases.
- Compile, interpret, and analyze investigation data to prepare detailed technical reports.
- Write technical reports, evaluate responses, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with marketing and business development efforts to promote the company’s services.
- Oversee projects at diverse sites, including Superfund sites, complex federal facilities, military installations, and commercial/industrial properties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental investigations and assessments.
- Professional licensure in Geology or Engineering (P.G. or P.E.) is required.
- Previous experience executing projects under federal assessment, remediation, and munitions programs is preferred.
- HAZWOPER Certification is desirable.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 5-10% annually.
- Willing to travel up to 30-50%
