What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAT English Instructor position at CEI Tutoring?
CEI Tutoring, Dublin is a local educational institute specializing in one-on-one and group tutoring classes. Our mission is to empower students by providing a collaborative environment where they can master the skills needed to become successful lifelong learners. We provide academic tutoring for elementary school to high school students in the Tri-valley areas, primarily from Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore, and Castro Valley. Most of our tutoring classes take place during weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
Teachers must be able to take initiative and work independently. At the same time, we expect teachers to collaborate with our program director in order to develop and/or expand curricula. We are hiring English teachers for our different classes: elementary, middle, and high school levels. English teachers must be experts at the English level you teach and have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and reading, as well as the ability to write and correct essays.
At least one year of teaching/tutoring experience and a bachelor's degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree and/or teaching credential experience in teaching/tutoring English is highly desirable
Experience teaching/tutoring Elementary/Middle/AP Literature courses are also highly desirable
Ability to teach multiple subjects
